ACCESS CONTROL
Access
control enhances your site security by giving the user the flexibility to
control who is allowed to enter a building or area and when. The systems we
design and install will keep your buildings, staff and assets secure.
Y.E.S.
install various levels of access control and can provide systems designed by
us to your requirements and budget.
This can be an install as simple as a keypad which controls electronic door
locking on one door, through to a PC based intelligent programmable system
on several sites with multiple system administrators. We can install Paxton,
PAC, TAC and TDSI access control systems.
Standalone Systems
Standalone systems may be
used to control access on one or many independent doors in a building.
Access is gained by using either a PIN with a keypad, a numeric code or by
presenting a proximity or magstripe token (dictated by
which type of reader is fitted).
Standalone systems are appropriate for smaller sites, the token management
being simple and the system easily upgradable as requirements change.
Computer Based
Systems
PC systems may be used to control any number of doors in a building. Access
is gained using the same procedure as with standalone systems with the
addition of control via a secure central workstation, often via a remote
network. The access commands given at the workstation can be sent to each of
the doors instantly, from anywhere worldwide, therefore a user can be barred
from one or more of the doors with immediate effect, conversely a user can
also be granted permissions just as easily. Reporting packages are available
on some systems in order to monitor personnel activity. Many systems allow
control of additional buildings via existing LAN/WAN. PC based systems are
increasingly being used to control other services within buildings, e.g.
intruder alarms, fire doors, lifts and lighting.
