Safety and security gate installed at local school.
Yorkshire Electronic Security Ltd came to the aid of a local special-needs school where their original swing gates had to be replaced because of recent high winds. The gate was deemed a danger to the children, but instead of the gate being totally replaced, the ingenious guys at their workshop fabricated the existing gate into an automated cantilever sliding gate incorporating an intercom, exit buttons and free-exit induction loop. Once again, the client was extremely satisfied by the quality of the work carried out in very inclement conditions.
Perimeter Protection Systems successfully installed.
Yorkshire Electronic Security were twice commissioned this month to install Perimeter Protection Systems.
The first system was installed at a private residence and consisted of 5 sets of infra- red beams located at various strategic positions around the property. These beams are totally invisible to the naked eye. When the beams are broken an alarm is activated deterrring any would-be intruders from entering the building therefore acting as a “first line of defence”.
The other perimeter protection system was commissioned by a crane hire business near Leeds. This system consisted of 10 sets of infra-red beam sensors, again invisible to the naked eye and placed around the perimeter of the property and the storage yard. The system is activated by one of the beams being broken, but this time is accompanied by a loud recorded human voice announcing that they have been seen and the Police have been called. This system also allows for a text message to be sent to an authorised person and, if used with a web enabled phone, live camera images can be viewed for reassurance.
YES Aid Recovery.
Yorkshire Electronic Security were called out to assist Leeds Housing Federation following a gate automation problem at the local Leeds Woman’s Aid Office.
The existing gate had malfunctioned and it was feared that the gate would have to be replaced at great cost – But the boys at YES did a fast and cost efficient refurbishment saving almost 75% against the cost of a completely new fabricated gate. This just proves that gate maintenance does actually save money in the long run provided this work is carried out at regular intervals.
